FIELD: oil dehydration. SUBSTANCE: method enables increasing efficiency of dehydrating streams of various-origin hydrocarbon phases using simple-structure apparatus ensuring high-extent dehydration in continuous mode. Selective filtration of hydrocarbon medium is carried out on porous-cellular metal or alloy, whose hydrophobic property provides retention and separation of disperse aqueous phase in the first and last stages whereas, in intermediate stage, coalescence of fine drops occurs on hydrophilic material, which is porous-cellular metal with modified properties or volume celluloid gauzes, or cassettes with glass balls.
