CONTACTOR RESISTANT TO IMPACT OF ELECTRIC ARC Russian patent published in 2012 - IPC H01H33/04 H01H9/30

Abstract RU 2451359 C2

FIELD: electricity.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a contactor for operation on AC and DC, comprising at least one contact area with a fixed contact and a movable contact, on which an electric arc is generated as contacts open, and an arc-quenching device to quench an electric arc, near which there is a catching device for burnt particles generated in a contactor as a result of a switching electric arc arranged in the form of a catching bath protruding at least above one contact area, or in the form of a U-shaped diverging shield arranged on a contact link so that shelves of the U-shaped diverging shield extend substantially perpendicularly to the longitudinal direction of the contact link.

EFFECT: invention eliminates contamination of contact areas with burnt particles and increased service life.
