FIELD: process engineering.
SUBSTANCE: proposed device incorporates clamping device (110-r, 120-r) arranged at its inlet and clamping device (110-l, 120-l) arranged at its outlet with cutting device 155 provided with top knife 150 and bottom knife 130, and connection device. Accurate positioning, adjustment and increased efficiency are ensured by clamping device (110-r, 120-r) arranged at its inlet or clamping device (110-l, 120-l) arranged at its outlet made up of preassembled clamping unit. At first stage, clamping devices open to allow feeding two ends of bans so that, at second stage, said ends are clamped in said clamping devices and cut before displacing them in joint position for them to be jointed together. Device may be designed to displace band cut ends forward each other by lateral displacement of appropriate clamping device (110, 120) and to make second cut after said lateral displacement.
EFFECT: improved band joint quality.
