FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a novel method of producing alkylolamides from triglycerides of fatty acids, where, by reacting mono- or diethanolamine with sodium hydroxide, taken in weight ratio 0.5-0.9 wt % of the weight of amino alcohol in a single process in a high vacuum with residual pressure of 2-3 mm Hg and temperature 70-90°C, a catalyst - sodium alcoholate - is obtained; water vapour formed during the reaction is removed through a refluxer heated to temperature 30°C. The reaction mixture is cooled to temperature 40-43°C and amidation is carried out at atmospheric pressure for 15 to 20 minutes. The fatty acid triglyceride is taken in molar ratio to amino alcohol equal to 1:3.06.
EFFECT: obtaining a quality product with high degree of conversion of starting components and low power consumption.
