FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to adhesive polymer substances and can be widely used in gluing different materials: wood, wood plastic, polymers, metals, as well as materials with irregular surfaces, particularly foam plastic, foam glass-ceramics and other porous materials. The phenol-formaldehyde resin based adhesive consists of a hardener which contains a novolac-type phenol resin and toluene sulphonic acid, as well as a resin composition containing the following (pts.wt): resol-type phenol resin 34.3-23.0; urea formaldehyde resin 10-20; petroleum ether 3.0-4.6; OP-10 1.25-1.4; furfuryl alcohol 1.45-1.0. The ratio of the hardener to said resin composition is equal to 50:50 (pts.wt).
EFFECT: longer working life and strength.
