SUBSTANCE: piston ring 1 and radial expander consists of separate flexible pairs parallel, equal by length and interconnected with arc form wire 10, and of spiral spring coils 6 and 7 installed in cylinder blind orifices 11 and 12 parallel to each other and made in back wall 15 of piston groove 2. Symmetry axes 14 of orifices 11 and 12 and spring coil 6 and 7 coincide and are directed along radius of piston 3; also spiral spring coils 6 and 7 are positioned outside piston groove 2.

EFFECT: raised reliability and service life of piston ring with additional flexibility.
