FIELD: mechanical engineering; internal combustion engines; sealing of piston-cylinder pair. SUBSTANCE: arrangement has split ring installed in piston groove with spaces arranged symmetrically at both sides of lock on inner surface of ring between upper and lower end faces. Spaces are made through to cut of lock on arc of 20-60 degrees. Jumper made in form of radially springing shaped plate is placed in behind-the-ring space between piston and ring symmetrically relative to lock slot. Convex arc-shape portion of jumper gets into space, and ends are bent over piston groove circumference from lock slot and thrust against piston groove bottom. Jumper is made flexible in radial direction. Convex portion of jumper connects two ends of ring into common unit and, in case of vibration, convex portion of jumper takes up cross loads and precludes vibration of rings end in piston groove.
