FIELD: mechanical engineering.
SUBSTANCE: end cap it mounted with a glue line on a cut pipeline made of an erosion-resistant press material. The end cap represents a cylindrical cup the bottom of which comprises a radial cavity overlapping the cut pipeline with an adhesion-blocking liner. The end cap is made of a material possessing lower strength properties than the pipeline material. The end cap from outside is coated with a heat-reflecting material wherein from outside of the end cap, there is a seated annular bushing within the radial cavity. A bushing width within a contact with the end cap exceeds a radial cavity width while its height is at least equal to a thickness of a layer of a heat-reflecting material. In a cross-section, the annular bushing is represented in the form of a tapered profile from a end cap axis to the periphery.
EFFECT: use of the invention provides higher operational reliability of the end cap under outer explosion or heat.
