FIELD: mechanical engineering.

SUBSTANCE: strain sensors are used to prepare a line of blades on a portion of a rotor wheel circle. The first blade in the line is appointed to be a reference. It is followed by determining values of oscillation coherence functions of each blade in relation to the reference, while these derived values are used to diagnose an aeroelastic oscillation mode. If the values of coherence functions of the line of the blades are equal to one, blade self-oscillations are diagnosed. The monotone decrease monotonous between the maximum equal to one of the values of coherence functions of the line of the blades as far as each blade is arranged towards the rotor wheel rotation from the reference, show stall blade oscillations are diagnosed. Self-oscillations and stall oscillations adjustment measures are specified.

EFFECT: higher reliability and reduced time for diagnosing the aeroelastic flow oscillation mode in the operation conditions of the rotor blades of the axial flow turbomachine.
