SUBSTANCE: invention refers to medicine, namely oncology, and is applicable for the purpose of prevention of osteoporosis accompanying preoperative chemotherapy in the patients suffering stage III non-small-cell lung cancer. That is ensured by densitometry to measure bone mineral density (BMD) by the T-criterion prior to the beginning of treatment and after 2-3 courses of preoperative chemotherapy according to the schedule paclitaxel/carboplatin coupled with premedicant glucocorticosteroids: the normal BMD (falling within the range +2.5 to -1 standard deviations from peak bone weight) makes the patients to be followed-up; decreasing values (within -1 standard deviations from peak bone weight or lower) requires introducing the preparation Aclasta 5 mg intravenously once every 2 years and conducting densitometry every year to control the BMD by the T-criterion.

EFFECT: method provides higher effectiveness and tolerability of prevention of osteoporosis due to a new approach to prescribing the therapy.
