FIELD: tobacco industry.
SUBSTANCE: invention refers to the method and device for filtering tubes formation. The filtering tube formation method includes filtering element delivery into the groove on the first drum that becomes vacuumised for the filtering element attachment thereto (the first drum additionally containing the left-hand and the right-hand cups engaging circumferentially round the filtering element at a clearance between each cup and the filtering element), axial engagement of the filtering element opposite ends with the first and the second tube forming rollers, delivery of continuous web with a glue pattern thereon to the second drum, the web cutting into individual pieces; delivery of at least a web piece section to at least a section of the filtering element in the first drum groove, wrapping the web piece round the filtering element and the tube forming rollers to form a cylindrically shaped structure which involves a stage of the cups engagement and delivery of the web piece through the clearance between each of the cups and the filtering element and axial disconnection of the tube forming rollers to produce a filtering tube with hollow ends and a centrally positioned filtering element.
EFFECT: exclusion of wrinkling and creasing during the filtering element wrapping.
