SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the segments block wrapping method and system for use in the manufacturing of rod-like products such as smoking articles. Developed is the segments block wrapping method, in which the segments are placed end to end, and in the longitudinal direction the block outer peripheral surface is fixed to the piece of wrapping material edge portion, at that, at least one of the block segments is a rigid segment with compressibility higher than about 10 N by 1.5 mm; wherein the method comprises stages, at which: supplying equipped with the piece of wrapping material segments block to the rolling seat located in the wrapping conveyor outer circumferential surface; placing the retaining surface at a distance from the wrapping conveyor outer circumferential surface opposite to this surface so, that to enable the supplied to the rolling seat block to contacting the retaining surface; wrapping the segments block with the piece of wrapping material, at that, the wrapping comprises stages, at which moving the wrapping conveyor relative to the retaining surface, thereby enabling of the wrapping conveyor and the retaining surface relative movement so, that to cause the block rotation in the rolling seat along the block longitudinal axis; providing the three-point guide contact with the segments block during the segments block movement along the retaining surface.
EFFECT: technical result of invention is the need to develop method and system, which enable the segments blocks for smoking articles reliable wrapping.
