FIELD: machine building.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to machine building, particularly, to cutting involute helical gears by means of disk cutter at CNC machine tools. Proposed method comprises machining side of profile of said gears by revolving disk cutter. Machining is carried out by method of cyclic rolling. Tool cutting edges are arranged in plane perpendicular to its rotational axis. In rolling involute profile and turning machine gear about its axis through certain angle, disk cutter makes relative displacements. Said displacements are performed in mutually perpendicular axes X and Y by definite law. Adjustment of machine gear rotation and tool displacement is carried out by CNC machine tool program.
EFFECT: reduced wear of cutting tool, higher precision and quality.
