FIELD: wood working industry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to timber industry and may be used to cut tree-length material at lower warehouses of timber-processing enterprises. A trimmer crosscut plant of slasher type includes a transverse conveyor, an alignment conveyor and an operator's booth. The transverse conveyor comprises traction chains with grip supports arranged on bearing metal trusses. Traction chains are driven from a single shaft. On trusses of a transverse conveyor there are stationary cutting discs with drives. A drive of each stationary cutting disc is equipped with electric time sensors. Time sensors are calibrated for the time of pure cutting. Signals from time sensors are sent to controllers or computers installed in the operator's booth.
EFFECT: higher efficiency of a plant due to continuity of the process to measure diameters of timber log length.
