FIELD: electric engineering.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to diagnostics of complicated engineering systems with variable structure of electric circuits in electric stock of railway transport. The method is consisted of stages which provide for: automatic testing mode is set for electric circuits; at the same time, voltages in the reference points of control circuit are measured, voltage drops in power and auxiliary circuits are defined as well as consumption currents during every effect in each structural configuration. The dependencies of voltage, currents and voltage drops variation from time and input state are defined. The resistance of circuits, their legs and sections is calculated and voltage pulses generated in certain legs of control circuits during multi-positional switching devices are counted. Then, the movement time of the given number of pulses is defined. The above parameters and dependencies are used as diagnostic features. The reference features and combination of diagnostic features are preliminary defined by static analysis of empirical data. The technical state of electric circuits is comprehensively evaluated by comparing diagnostic features and their combinations with reference values.

EFFECT: improved trustworthiness and reduced labor input into electric circuit with various structure diagnostics.
