SUBSTANCE: invention relates to information measuring equipment and can be used to convert single time intervals in the nanosecond range into a digital code in information measuring, radar and other equipment. The invention is aimed at increasing speed of conversion, which is ensured due to that, a progressive-type recirculating time-to-number converter has a first OR circuit whose first input is connected to the first input terminal of the converter, the output is connected through a first delay line to the first input of a second OR circuit, and the output of the first OR circuit is connected to the second input of the second OR circuit whose output is connected to the first input of a first AND circuit and to the first input of a third OR circuit, whose second input is connected to the second input of the first AND circuit, and the output is connected through a second delay line to the first input of the second AND circuit whose second input is connected to the output of an RS flip-flop and the output is connected to the first input of a third AND circuit, the second input of a fourth AND circuit and the inverting input of a T flip-flop, the true output of which is connected to the second input of the third AND circuit, and the inverting output is connected to the second input of the fourth AND circuit, the output of which is connected to the inverting input of a pulse counter and the second input of the first OR circuit, the first input of which is connected to the S input of the RS flip-flop, the R input of which is connected to the output of a fourth OR circuit, the first input of which is connected to the output of the first AND circuit, and the second input is connected to the R input of the T flip-flop, the control input of the pulse counter and the second input terminal of the converter, the third input terminal of which is connected to the third input of the third OR circuit, and the output of the third AND circuit is connected through a delay element to the second input of the third OR circuit.
EFFECT: faster conversion.
