FIELD: process engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to hydroacoustics and may be used in long-range monitoring hydroacoustic stations. Proposed method comprises producing nonlinear interaction zone and parametric conversion of elastic pumping waves with measured data signals. Radiating and receiving antennas of measuring system are located on opposite boundaries of sea medium controlled section to produce, there between, zone of nonlinear interaction and parametric conversion of elastic pumping waves with measured data signal. Pumping waves interacting with measured data signals are received and amplified in the zone of parametric conversion to transfer their frequency-time scale in high-frequency range and to make narrow-band spectral analysis. Then, parametric components of total or differential frequency are isolated to reestablish characteristics of initial data signals.
EFFECT: expanded spatial geometry of sounding.
