SUBSTANCE: invention relates to communication networks and online method of charging in communication systems. A network element that maintains connection with participation of mobile devices, initiates the event of online charging and generates a credit request, such as a request for protocol Diameter credit control, the network element recognises access information, in which the type of access of a mobile device is specified, for connection to the communication network LTE/EPC, and enters information of credit request. A network element is designed with an ability to transfer to the online charging system (server) a credit request, containing access information through the improved interface. Moreover, the access information may be used in the online charging server to control the connection fee.
EFFECT: control reliability for LTE/EPC user service increases In the communication network the network elements are connected to the online charging system by means of an improved interface.
