FIELD: electric engineering.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to electric engineering, namely, to electric arc gas heaters (plasmatron) used for generating stationary flows of various gas plasma, and may be used in chemical and metallurgical industries, and for research purposes to carry out aerodynamic experiments. The arc gas heater contains along the longitudinal axis the sequential installation of internal hollow cylindrical electrode, inter-electrode insertion with a central hole and tangential openings, three gas supply chambers and output hollow cylindrical electrode. The rear cover of arc gas heater is provided with holes and the holes in the rear cover and on inter-electrode insertion are evenly distributed along the circle with diameter 0.75-0.8 of the internal electrode diameter.
