METHOD OF DETERMINING SYSTEMATIC ERRORS IN LOCATING MISSILE AND TARGET USING MONOPULSE SYSTEM Russian patent published in 2012 - IPC G01S3/14

Abstract RU 2454677 C1

FIELD: physics.

SUBSTANCE: at a defined distance from the antenna of a monopulse system, two optical devices are rigidly connected to the plane of the antenna, their optical axes being perpendicular to the normal plane, and one of said devices is an electro-optical direction finder (EODF); the line of sight of the optical device and the optical axis of the EODF are respectively aimed at a geodetic mark and a optical source, lying together with an auxiliary on a board placed on a tower; the second optical device is an infrared direction finder, and the geodetic mark used is an optical source; wherein a moving target simulator is placed at given distance from the auxiliary antenna; using the auxiliary antenna and the moving target simulator direction-finding characteristics of angular discriminators of the target and missile channels are obtained, based on which, by determining displacement of equisignal directions from the normal, systematic error values for locating the missile and the target are obtained, taking into account the difference in angular coordinates of the auxiliary antenna and the moving target simulator.

EFFECT: determining systematic errors in locating a missile and a target using a monopulse system and elimination of said errors by making suitable adjustments.
