SUBSTANCE: backlight module has a light guide plate and a diffusion plate. The diffusion plate includes a top diffusion plate and bottom diffusion plate. A prismatic plate is placed between the top diffusion plate and the bottom diffusion plate. The top diffusion plate has dullness of not more than 80%. Light passing through the light output plane in an inclined direction having emergence angle of not more than 44°, and at that angle, light passing in the inclined direction has intensity which is half the intensity of light passing through the light output plane in the normal direction.
