FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a method and apparatus (100) for measuring, monitoring and controlling optimum batched consumption of chemicals (114) fed into continuously flowing treated liquids (102), particularly chemicals for treating process and waste water, emulsions and aqueous dispersions containing oil, surfactants, lacquer, paint and heavy metals. According to the disclosed method, an automatically set optimum initial value of batched consumption is used to carry out continuous treatment of waste water (demulsification, coagulation) with addition of organic splitters and compounds thereof (treatment chemicals (114)), wherein the defined characteristic of the treated liquid (102), specifically turbidity, optimally varies owing to automatic measurement, monitoring and control.
EFFECT: continuous optimum treatment of contaminated liquids using chemicals.
