SUBSTANCE: main computer sends control messages to field devices using their addresses of field devices; a gateway converts a field device address in a control message into a wireless address of a wireless unit, with which a field device is connected; the gateway sends a radio message along a network to the wireless unit along the wireless address; the message contains the field device address, therefore after reception and opening of a radio message, a control message from the main computer on the basis of the field device address may be sent to the dedicated field device.
EFFECT: invention provides for transfer of messages between the main computer and field device along a wireless cellular network comprising multiple wireless units.
