SUBSTANCE: method to download content in a communication system (10), including the first terminal (1), at least the second terminal (2) and a server (5, 8) of content, besides, the specified method at the level of the first terminal includes stages, at which content is downloaded in a pull-mode from the content server or at least the second terminal; and this content download continues in a push-mode, without the necessity to request any additional information, when the push-mode is started at the content server. By analogy, if content is downloaded in the push-mode from the content server, this content download is continued in the pull-mode from the content server or at least the second terminal, without the necessity to request any additional information, when the pull-mode is available.
EFFECT: higher efficiency of optimisation of network bandwidth usage due to smooth switching between modes to continue content download.
