SUBSTANCE: information is received on status of a channel for multiple receivers of a communication group "point - multipoint". Distortion of signal/noise ratio is assessed for a communication group "point - multipoint" on the basis of received information on status of a channel and available bit speeds of coded data transfer. Assignment of a bit speed is selected to provide for optimal full signal/noise ratio for transfer into a communication group "point - multipoint". Content coding is controlled for a communication group "point - multipoint" in compliance with the selected assignment of the bit speed.
EFFECT: increased quality of multimedia communication "point - multipoint".
