FIELD: process engineering.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to gas or fluid swirlers incorporated with cyclone fluid drop separators to be used in chemical, oil-and-gas industries, etc. rotary swirler is made up of tape bent along straight lines. Note here that said tape makes hollow case with multistart screw lines and surfaces arranged along the edges of its inner and outer surfaces. Said case represents a portion of torus with variable pitch of screw lines on outer perimetre and curvilinear screw surface on inner perimetre. Said case consists of sections, each being made up of round sector composed of band to make different-size quadrangles with two parallel crease edges spaced apart in parallel. Said band is folded into ring with curvilinear pockets arranged along ring edges. Aforesaid sections are jointed together by free sides of said quadrangles. Note here that said pockets are arranged at acute angle to case axis and differ in shape and sizes. Note also that distance between crease edges are equal to make the sum of inner surface pocket perimetre lengths.

EFFECT: variable direction of fluid or gas flows, expanded performances.
