FIELD: process engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to gas and fluid swirlers. Proposed device comprises hollow case. Case represents a torus part with wavy multistart screw birecurvate surface provided with screw grooves inside and outside said case arranged at angle to its axis in the form of curved pockets with centers of curvature located outside and inside case cross-section. Case is made up of sections, each being made up of annular sector made from strip coiled to make different-size quadrangles with two parallel sides. Distance between straight crease edges equals the length of each element of said polygon. Pocket inner and outer surfaces may differ in shape and size. Sections are interconnected by free ends of said quadrangles in the form of hollow case.
EFFECT: expanded operating performances, reduced flow friction.
