FIELD: process engineering.
SUBSTANCE: set of inventions relates to metal forming, particularly, to producing steel bearing-capacity structural element by clinching metal parts with total thickness exceeding 8 mm. Clinch-joint is produced by local deformation. Note here that first metal part is jointed with second metal part by tool with male die and mate tool. Note here that first and second metal parts are applied on mate tool machining surface and leveled thereon. Then, tool male die is fed onto two superimposed metal part to penetrate there through unless clinch-joint is formed by plastic deformation. Symmetric male die may rotate about rotational axis. Besides, male die has tapered transition section converging at the angle to male die penetration direction.
EFFECT: higher bearing capacity.
