FIELD: technological processes.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to metal forming, namely to methods and devices for connection of superimposed metal sheets by local plastic deformation to make interpenetrating connection. Connection is carried out using punch 7, 8 and matrix 1 with jaws 2 and 3 mounted in holder of press. Punch comprises spring-loaded clamp 9. Matrix housing in its upper part has tapered seat, in which with geometric closure with it split elements - jaws 2, 3 are mounted, containing in end part recesses, representing working cavity of tool. Working cavity of tool is conical with tangles diverging towards bottom.
EFFECT: jaws 2, 3 outside matrix housing due to skews made in their lower part have possibility of mutual turn about axis located in plane of jaws hinge 4, which provides free removal from matrix clinch-connection part in form of cone-shaped element of interpenetrating lock joint, extending beyond connected sheets.
