FIELD: process engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to portable electrically driven chain saw. Proposed saw encased power supply 1, sawing chain 2 and chain guide 3, as well as saw handle 5. Sawing chain is engaged with drive gear. Power supply is made up of DC brushless motor 4 with electronic control system and rotor. The latter is furnished with permanent magnets. Saw handle is arranged under said motor 4 and said drive gear. In vertical sawing, said handle is arranged perpendicular, or, in fact, perpendicular to lengthwise axis of aforesaid saw guide 3.
EFFECT: ease of use, lower labour input.
