FIELD: process engineering.
SUBSTANCE: proposed chain saw comprises endless saw chain. Chain saw is mounted to rotate about drive sprocket and tire. Chain saw is equipped with motor-driven guide, lubricant tank, and pump. Said pump forces lubricant out of lubricant tank and toward tire and saw chain. Said pump is attached to drive motor. Electric motor is independent of saw chain drive motor. Proposed method of lubing chain saw consists in controlling lubricant flow from pump by p.c.b. by at least one parameter of said chain saw. Portions of lubricant is forced periodically to ward saw. Lubricant portions are fed in fact at invariable rate. Note here that said portions comprises amount of lubricant governed by aforesaid chain saw parameter.
EFFECT: higher efficiency of lubing, reduced lubricant consumption.
