SUBSTANCE: invention relates to portable electric tools, in particular, but not exclusively, to electronic pruners or similar tools comprising cutting edges with controlled closure. The substance of the invention consists in the fact that a portable electric tool, in particular, electric or electronic pruners, comprising a body (1), which serves as a handle and at one of ends of which there is a movable active organ (2), movements of which are made with a drive (8), differing by the fact that the movable organ of the drive (8) is equipped with a magnet (13) with oriented magnetisation, moving in front of a magnetoresistive sensor (14), fixed on a fixed element (1c) of the body, and also by the fact that a start-up mechanism (6) is equipped with a magnet (15) with oriented magnetisation, which moves in front of a magnetoresistive sensor (16), fixed on the fixed element (1a) of the body, at the same time the portable electric tool comprises also an electronic circuit board for analysis of information arriving from each magnetoresistive sensor (14, 16), depending on inclination of power lines of a magnetic field, getting on it, for control of drive (8) operation with the purpose of accurate positioning of a movable organ (2) depending on a control device (6).

EFFECT: higher reliability of an electric tool, higher accuracy and speed of cutting works.
