FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to chemistry. Aqueous solution of calcium polysulphide with concentration 10-20% is oxidised at room temperature in the presence of 10-20% hydrochloric acid solution with volume ratio of sodium polysulphide solution to hydrochloric acid equal to 1:(0.10-0.15). The formed suspension is filtered, the residue of finely dispersed sulphur is washed first with water and then ethyl alcohol and then dried to obtain the end product - dry powder of nanosized sulphur.
EFFECT: invention ensures a safe process of producing nanosized sulphur.
