FIELD: process engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to catalytic methods of cleaning gas mixes of carbon sulphide. Proposed catalyst comprises activated silicon dioxide matrix produced by acid etching of natural vermiculite, and nano-sized particles of iron or iron oxides, or mixes thereof, in amount of 0.1-2.5 % by wt relative to mass of silicon oxide and at copper-to-iron ratio in their mix equal to 0.3. Proposed invention covers also the method of catalytic deep cleaning of gas mixes of carbon sulphide by its oxidising oxygen. Note here that gas mixes represent mixes containing carbon sulphide in amount of about 1%, while process occurs in the presence of above described catalyst to residual content of sulfur not exceeding 1 ppm.
EFFECT: described catalyst allows conversion of carbon sulphide equal to 95-99 %.
