FIELD: inorganic chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a method for modifying the surface of inorganic nanoparticles - divalent metal oxides used to assess the toxic effect, including the formation of a surface shell on nanoparticles by dispersing the nanoparticle in a liquid under the influence of ultrasound to obtain a suspension, introducing an additive into the suspension, keeping the resulting mixture while stirring, separating the sediment and drying it. Moreover, before dispersing, the nanoparticles in an amount of 0.06-0.1 g are mixed with 30-50 ml of 95-99% ethanol and subjected to dispersion for 1-3 minutes to obtain a suspension. As an additive to the suspension, a solution of lauric acid in 99% ethanol with a concentration of 0.001-0.02 mol/l in an amount of 40-50 ml is used. Then the resulting mixture is dispersed for 2-4 minutes at the power of the ultrasonic dispersant of 150 W or for 8-15 minutes at 50-65% of the power of the ultrasonic dispersant. Then the mixture is kept with constant stirring for 2.0-2.5 hours at a temperature of 18-25 ºC, filtered out and the resulting sediment is dried at a temperature of 50-90 ºC until the liquid is completely removed.
EFFECT: modifying the surface of inorganic nanoparticles to assess toxic effect.
