FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a method of producing high-purity vanadium oxide via extraction. The method involves preparing the starting substance for firing, firing with liming, leaching, separating the undissolved residue, mixing the leaching product with a saponified organic phase to carry out extraction, treating the extraction products with sulphuric acid to obtain an ammonium polyvanadate residue which is calcined to obtain V2O5 or reducing the ammonium polyvanadate to obtain V2O3, wherein waste water from extraction is returned into the system for circulation and reuse after neutralisation treatment with lime milk.
EFFECT: invention increases rate of extracting vanadium and reduces the cost of the product, enables to obtain a vanadium product of high quality and recycle waste water from vanadium extraction.
