FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: described is material for making a biochip, which is a copolymer consisting of a functional and a cross-linking comonomer. The functional monomer used is 2-cyanoethyl methacrylate (CEMA). To obtain material with low content of the functional monomer and also having hydrophilic properties, part of the CEMA monomer is substituted with a 2-hydroxyethyl methacrylate (HEMA) monomer. The following monomer ratios are used for synthesis: CEMA - 23 mol %; HEMA - 45 mol %; EDMA - 32 mol %. The material is a macroporous layer which is synthesised on the surface of a glass substrate. To obtain a biochip on the surface of a polymer material, the corresponding bioprobe (protein or DNA/RNA) is covalently immobilised.
EFFECT: possibility of introducing protein probes in milder conditions and in a short a period of time, sensitivity of bioanalysis at least doubles compared to when the closest analogues are used - biochips based on macroporous material obtained from a glycidyl methacrylate and ethyleneglycol dimethacrylate (EDMA) copolymer.
