FIELD: metallurgy.
SUBSTANCE: electrode contains a basis of one or several metals, on which, after pretreatment of its surface, a coating of at least one platinum group metal or its alloy, after which the electrode undergoes thermomechanical treatment consisting of electrode annealing, followed by plastic deformation in the cold or hot conditions.
EFFECT: increased corrosion resistance of the electrode, increased strength of the coating due to improved structure of the coating, which increases the electrode lifetime.
