FIELD: electricity.
SUBSTANCE: further treatment of the titanic case outside surface and application of active coating on it. The method is characterised by formation at the boundary line of copper core and titanic case of an inner layer with high specific insulation resistance from 500 up to 5000 Ohm/m made of copper oxide and/or titanium oxide, and upon treatment of the titanic case at its surface active coating is applied with thickness of 1-10 mcm of the platinum group metal oxides - ruthenium oxide or iridium oxide or their mixture, at that application of the active coating of the platinum group metal oxides at the surface of the titanic case is performed by chemical-electric method or method of thermal decomposition of the platinum group metal oxides - ruthenium or iridium or their mixture.
EFFECT: usage of this method allows reliable electrochemical protection for long metal objects due to equal current running-off and equal distribution of the protection potential along the length of anode bed at maintenance of long period of electrode operation.
