FIELD: machine building.
SUBSTANCE: fluid converter contains centrifugal impeller (1), centripetal turbine wheel (3), axial reactor (5), planetary gear, brake (10) reactor and brake (11) of carrier (9) of the planetary gear unit. Impeller and turbine wheel rotate in one direction. The torque acting on the centreline of reactor (5), rotating in the opposite direction, is added to the torque of centripetal turbine wheel (3), increasing the torque at the output shaft. When h reaches the gear ratio of 0.7, the torque converter operates the in mode of coupling, thereby increasing operating range up to 5.
EFFECT: invention enables to extend the working range of the fluid converter with a forced rotation of the reactor.
