FIELD: physics.
SUBSTANCE: apparatus includes: a display panel having a plurality of pixel circuits and a plurality of optical sensors which are arranged two-dimensionally; filter parts which are provided on corresponding light paths entering the optical sensors, and which allow infrared light to pass through them and stop visible light; and backlight which is provided on the side of the back surface of the display panel and which emits at least light which passes through the filer parts. The backlight includes a first luminous element which emits visible light; a second luminous element which emits infrared light; a light-directing plate; and a reflecting sheet which is provided on one surface of the light-directing plate and which allows infrared light to pass through it and reflects visible light. The first luminous element is placed along the end surface of the light-directing plate, and the second luminous element is placed on the side of the surface of the light-directing plate where the reflecting sheet lies.
EFFECT: reduced action of visible external light or backlight on optical sensors of the device.
