FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to field of medicine, namely to ENT-oncology, surgery of head and neck. Essence of method lies in sewing of sternocleidomastoid muscle to prevertebral fascia and covering main neurovascular bundle of neck. Medial edge of sternocleidomastoid muscle together with skin flap is step-by-step fixed to prevertebral fascia together from one or both sides. For fixation prevertebral fascia is exposed between neurovascular bundle of neck and larynx, medial edge of muscle is rotated and fixed to prevertebral fascia with sutures, soft tissues are sewn layer-by-layer.
EFFECT: application of claimed invention makes it possible to improve functional and surgical results, ensure prevention of wound suppuration and arrosive bleeding from principal main vessels of neck, ensure improvement of cosmetic effect of operation due to creation of conditions of relative anatomical and physiological well-being in operated region without making operation less radical.
