LOW-INVASIVE SURGICAL TREATMENT OF CONGENITAL CLUBFOOT RECURRENCES IN ADULTS Russian patent published in 2012 - IPC A61B17/00

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to field of medicine, namely to traumatology and orthopedics. Method lies in application of apparatus of external fixation, realisation of surgical access, carrying out arthrodesis of talonavicular and talocalcaneal joints with ablation of their articular surfaces. Ablation is performed by cold-plasma ablation during 1-3 seconds with plasma energy 6-8 eV and power of emission 250-300 W. Compression of talonavicular and talocalcaneal joints is performed. It lies in formation of two canals. One canal is through navicular bone into talus. The second canal is through lower metatarsal tubercle from the side of sole surface of foot into talus. Compressing screws are introduced into formed canals. Length of canals and anatomical parameters of foot obey the ratios: where L₁ is length of canal through navicular bone into talus, cm; L₂ is length of canal through lower metatarsal tubercle from the side of sole surface of foot into talus, cm; T₁ is length of talus body, cm; T₂ is length of calcaneus body, cm; H is width of navicular bone body, cm. After that, supination of calcaneus and foot are eliminated.

EFFECT: application of claimed invention makes it possible to ensure complete reconstruction of anatomical structure and shape of foot with elimination of possibility of return of calcaneous and foot into position of supination in future.
