FIELD: process engineering.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to oil processing and petrochemical industries, particularly, to catalysts. Method of activating zeolite catalyst based on H-ZSM-5 high-silica zeolite with silicate module SiO2/Al2O3=50 comprises activation of zeolite catalyst by UV-radiation generated by eximer lamps in wavelengths λ=222 nm, λ=283 nm or λ=308 nm for 15-20 min, with radiation power dose making 24 J/cm2. Method of converting virgin gasoline fraction in high-octane gasoline component at 350-425°C, volumetric flow rate of 1.0-2.0 h-1 and pressure of 0.1-1.0 MPa used zeolite catalyst produced as described above.

EFFECT: higher activity and selectivity of zeolite catalyst.
