FIELD: transport.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to railway equipment, namely, to railroad ACS and telemetry hardware and may be used for traffic control. Method of controlling track state consists in applying alternating voltage at one end of track and receiving this voltage at other end of track, and comparing received voltage with threshold value. At receiver end, current voltage value is fixed when track is free and stored. Average voltage from the last three samples is determined and accepted as release threshold voltage. Occupation of track is fixed when inlet resistance on supplying end goes lower than threshold resistance. Release - when inlet resistance on receiver end exceeds threshold value of occupation resistance and average voltage exceeds threshold value of release voltage.
EFFECT: higher reliability of track state control.
