FIELD: transportation.
SUBSTANCE: method consists in feeding an alternating current signal to one end of track circuit and comparing the signal current values with threshold values of seizing and clearing. In case the seizing threshold value exceeds the current value, the track section is considered seized. In case the current value exceeds the clearing threshold value, the track section is considered cleared. Seizing and clearing threshold values are determined using the reference voltage. The threshold seizing voltage is equal to threshold voltage-seizing factor product, the seizing factor being a function of the insulation resistance. The threshold clearing voltage is equal to the threshold seizing voltage-factor of clearing product. Given negative ambient temperature and seized tract section or seized adjacent section, the "frost" counter point is increased to a limiting value, while at positive temperatures the above point is reduced to zero. Given the decreasing temperature and attainment of the "frost" counter threshold value, the reference voltage is taken to be such voltage that corresponds to deep-frozen ballast bed, and, on the contrary, with increasing temperature and zeroing of the said counter, the reference voltage is determined from the actual state of the ballast bed.
EFFECT: higher reliability of track section state control.
