SUBSTANCE: gabion foundation includes steps. It comprises cylindrical gabions installed concentrically and forming a telescopic structure, so that the diameter of cylindrical gabions increases as they deepen, the net of the upper cylindrical gabions is anchored into the lower ones. Antifiltration device is provided under the lower cylindrical gabion. A tangent to angles of steps has a concave surface, which is arranged with gradual increase of a turn angle and is described by a given equation.

EFFECT: higher bearing capacity and efficiency of operation, reduced material intensity, higher environmental compatibility of a structure.
