FIELD: weapons and ammunition.
SUBSTANCE: according to the method the shell is arranged in barrel channel of throwing device and preliminary acceleration of shell is performed with combustion products of propellant charge in barrel system of artillery tube. Then, additional acceleration of shell is performed with detonation products of an explosive in the channel of the device at the shell outlet from artillery tube. Explosive for additional acceleration is supplied to combustion chamber containing the valve mechanism and ignition of an explosive is performed in closed volume. Detonation products of an explosive for additional acceleration are supplied to receiving chamber and injected in mixing chamber with combustion products of shell of barrel system. Then, detonation products of an explosive pass through diffuser installed at the outlet and their total flow of power pulses acts on the bottom part of the flying shell within the limits of the device diffuser channel length. Reflected power pulse from explosive combustion is directed from combustion chamber by means of convergent-divergent nozzle and diffuser branch pipe to be released to air space. Device includes the housing installed on extreme part of barrel system of weapon, gas mixing chamber, combustion chamber, electric detonators, and tank for supply of fuel of an explosive. Combustion chamber is located above barrel system parallel to its axis. Combustion chamber has closed volume and valve mechanism. Convergent-divergent nozzle and diffuser branch pipe are installed at combustion chamber outlet. Mixing chamber is located coaxially to barrel system of weapon and has the receiving chamber for detonation products of an explosive and cone-shaped diffuser.
EFFECT: increasing the flight range of non-controlled shell.
