FIELD: physics.
SUBSTANCE: thermocouple system includes a thermocouple having a positive lead and a negative lead. The positive lead is connected at the first end to the positive lead on the first junction and at the second end to the second junction. The negative lead is connected at the first end to the negative lead on the third junction and at the second end to the fourth junction. The second and third junctions form a cold junction. At least one of thermal conductivity and diameter o the wire, at least one of the positive lead and negative lead is selected to control corresponding thermal flux from the first junction to the cold junction and thermal flux from the third junction to the cold junction in order to achieve such values that difference in thermal flux is less than a predetermined value.
EFFECT: reduced difference in thermal flux.
