FIELD: construction.
SUBSTANCE: automated device to cool samples in process of long-term fatigue testing of welded samples at low temperatures includes a chamber, a power block for loading of a tested sample installed inside a chamber body, a source of cooling medium with a facility to supply the latter into the chamber and a system of temperature monitoring in the chamber, the chamber body is divided into two compartments with a partition having gaps in the upper and lower parts of the chamber, in one of which there is a source of cooling medium - a coolant in the form of solid carbon dioxide, and the other one is designed to place a tested sample, at the same time the power block for loading of a tested sample is arranged in the form of a mechanism developing a stretching cyclic force at a sample. The facility of cooling medium supply in the form of cold air from a compartment with a coolant into a compartment with a tested sample is arranged in the form of a forced air supercharger arranged in a compartment with a coolant, and the temperature monitoring system in the chamber compartment with a sample represents temperature sensors placed in the specified compartment and connected with an external control computer, installed in the device.
EFFECT: invention provides for performance of fatigue testing of welded samples during their cyclic stretching under conditions that are maximum close to conditions on location, by means of deep cooling of tested samples in an air medium.
